Nancy Pelosi is making headlines — not for what she said or did during the second impeachment vote of President Donald Trump — but what she chose to wear to mark the occasion.
On Wednesday, the Speaker of the House arrived at the House of Representatives to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump wearing the same dark suit she wore to the President’s impeachment vote in 2019.

Pelosi’s office confirmed to People that the look is the same dark suit and gold necklace that the politician wore on Dec. 18, 2019 to preside over the House impeachment of Trump following reports that the president pressured the Ukraine to investigate the now-President elect, Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter, by withholding approximately $400 million in military aid.
At the time, Pelosi wore a gold brooch in the shape of a ceremonial mace, a symbol of legislative power. For Wednesday’s proceedings, Pelosi skipped the brooch, opting instead for a mandatory face mask in a dark floral print.
Eagle-eyed social media users were quick to note the wardrobe repeat and have dubbed the look, Pelosi’s “impeachment suit.”

Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’s niece, Meena Harris, tweeted side-by-side photos of Pelosi her now infamous suit.
“Nancy Pelosi has an official impeachment outfit,” tweeted Harris, a best-selling author and lawyer who has worked on multiple of her aunt’s political campaigns.
The tweet soon went viral with more than 122,000 likes and more than 7,900 comments from social media users praising Pelosi for her subtle fashion statement.
Let's hope she never has a reason to wear it again, let's hope no one ever has a reason to wear it ever again. I would love for this to be the final impeachment our nation ever has to endure. May we learn from the mistakes of the last four years to move our nation forward.

“I look forward to taking my son to the Smithsonian one day to see it on display and explain it was worn by a strong woman that helped save our country,” one person tweeted.
“I am quite sure that was intentional,” another wrote of Pelosi’s look. “She is mob boss level.”

I recognized the outfit - had noticed and admired the simple gold chain worn over the split collar before - but didn’t realize the prior occasion was the prior Impeachment of Trump. Excellent master-level outfitting!

If she had worn a Peach brooch/pin I would have been floored. Thanks Boss Lady. I love it

Pelosi supported the second impeachment of President Trump following the Jan. 6 siege on Capitol Hill by Trump supporters that left five people dead.
“We know that the president of the United States incited this insurrection, this armed rebellion against our common country. He must go,” Pelosi told the House on Wednesday. She continued by calling Trump “a clear and present danger to the nation we all love.”
