Nara, who gave birth to her three children before she turned 23, shared in a March 2024 TikTok that she had always wanted to be a young mom, explaining that she didnât feel like she was missing out on any fun or partying since she did that when she was younger.
âIâve always wanted to be a young mom because growing up my dad would always tell us that he regrets having kids later in life, so I took that advice and itâs one of the best decisions I could have made,â she said in the video. âI know itâs not for everyone.â
So who is Nara Smith? Hereâs everything to know about the TikTok creator and model married to Lucky Blue Smith.
She is German and South African
Nara was born on Sept. 27, 2001, in South Africa, where her mother is from. When she was 3 months old, Nara and her parents moved to Frankfurt, Germany, as her father is German. She grew up in the city and lived there until she was 18, she said in a March 2024 "get to know me" TikTok.
She added that she is the eldest of three, and has a younger brother and sister as well as an older half-brother from her momâs side who lives in South Africa.
Though the majority of her content is in English, Nara does speak both languages and has occasionally made some of her cooking TikToks in German, including a January 2024 video showcasing a recipe for German pancakes.
She started her career as a model
In her TikTok describing herself, Nara said that she was first signed as a model in Germany when she was 14 years old.
When she turned 18, Nara moved to California â despite having never visited before â and continued her career there. She is signed to IMG, the same agency Lucky is with.
She married Lucky in 2020
Nara said in her TikTok that she met Lucky through her modeling career when she first moved to Los Angeles, and after six months, the two got married on Feb. 21, 2020.
âthe boy who stole my heart... I married my best friend today,â Nara captioned an Instagram video of herself jumping into Luckyâs arms as he swung her around on their wedding day.
The bride wore a satin ivory Orseund Iris gown that featured long sleeves, a high neckline and a cutout at the chest and back. Lucky wore a baby blue suit with a darker blue tie.
The young couple got married in a beachside ceremony with their close loved ones by their side, including Luckyâs sister Pyper America Smith, and Pyperâs husband Quaid Rippon Holder.
She has three kids with Lucky
Nara and Luckyâs first child, Rumble Honey, was born on Oct. 7, 2020. Their second child, a son named Slim Easy, came just over a year later on Jan. 6, 2022. In December 2023, the couple announced they were expecting their third child.
âvolume 3 coming next year đ€,â they wrote in a joint post on Instagram of Nara debuting her baby bump.
In the weeks after her announcement, the model hosted an Instagram Q&A where her followers asked her questions on everything ranging from her choice to have home births to her decision to have another child.
She shared that while she was originally âadamantâ about not having any more babies, she ultimately changed her mind.
âThat kind of shifted earlier this year since I felt like something was missing and kept having a feeling that our family wasnât complete yet,â she wrote. âLucky always wanted us to have a third but he respected me making my own decision on it. We decided that it was now or never since I didnât want them to have huge age gaps and love how close Rumble and Slim are.â
A question Nara often receives is whether she is too young to have a large family already â however, she doubled down on her Story that it was the right decision for her.
âI know that 22 is considered young nowadays, to be having kids but I love being a young mom and growing with my kids,â she wrote. âI never feel like Iâm âmissing outâ or not âliving lifeâ like a girl in her 20s. Everyoneâs concept of what they want in life is unique to them and I wouldnât change my journey at all.â
In April 2024, she announced the birth of her daughter, Whimsy Lou Smith.
"Our little angel has arrived! Meet Whimsy Lou Smith đ€," she captioned an Instagram Reel with clips of the newborn.
She gained a following from her viral TikTok cooking videos
Though she originally had plans to be a marine biologist, Nara said her plans âshiftedâ and she now focuses on cooking and social media. Her TikTok has accumulated 3 million followers (and counting) since she started posting cooking content in 2023.
However, Naraâs recipes arenât just the average chicken parmesan â she painstakingly handmakes elaborate meals for her husband and children. In one March 2024 video, she shared how her children were craving cereal, so she made Cinnamon Toast Crunch from scratch. In another February 2024 post, Nara made homemade bagels and cream cheese to commemorate her and Luckyâs fourth wedding anniversary.
After receiving hateful comments, Nara gave a disclaimer at the start of one of her videos that she enjoys cooking for others and that she isnât expected to do it.
âI just want to put a disclaimer out there that I enjoy taking care of people by cooking for them,â she said. âThis is not something that is expected of me or something that I have to do.â
She has addressed her faith numerous times
Luckyâs family belongs to the Church of Latter-Day Saints, and Nara's followers often ask if Nara converted to the religion as well. In her "get to know me" video, Nara clarified that she does not strongly affiliate with the religion and was still figuring out her own faith.
âI donât know what Iâm doing, Iâm still learning and figuring out my own faith,â she said. âIâm not in any way a hardcore Mormon or anything like that.â
She added that she doesnât wear garments â a specific type of underwear worn by Mormons â and didnât get married in the temple.
âBoth me and my husband are on our own journeys and figuring out how we want to raise our kids,â she said.
