Nearly 60 Dairy Products Recalled Due To Potential Listeria Contamination
The products were sold at Whole Foods, Walmart, Kroger, retail deli counters, and more.
On January 11th, 344 cases of Rizo-López Foods, Inc. cotija cheese were recalled for potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. And yesterday on February 5th, the company announced an expanded recall of nearly 60 dairy products. Listeria is a bacteria that can cause serious harm or may be fatal to young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriage and stillbirths. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that Rizo Lopez Foods products may be a potential source of illness in an ongoing nationwide Listeria outbreak.
The recalled products include various cheeses, yogurts, and sour creams sold under the following brand names:

El Huache

The products are sold nationwide at stores and deli counters, including Walmart, Kroger, and Whole Foods.
