Netflix Drops First Look At 'Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft' Anime Series

Earlier this week, Netflix dropped a new first look trailer for the upcoming anime series, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. Bringing yet another video game to television, the series is slated to arrive in 2024.

The new trailer gives fans a glimpse of what to expect from the adventurous archeologist. The sneak peek feature saw Croft take a lengthy and breathy aim with her bow and arrow before dropping into darkened caverns and and rising again, battered and bruised against a wall of fire. The trailer debuted as a part of Netflix's first ever DROP 01 event, which is a virtual showcase for its most-anticipated anime offerings.

The original collaboration between Netflix and Legendary Entertainment for the extension of the Tomb Raider franchise was first announced in January 2021. The series will remain true to its video game origins, picking up from the narratives following the reboot trilogy. MCU actress Hayley Atwell voices Lara Croft alongside Earl Baylon and Allen Maldonado.

Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft will premiere on Netflix in 2024.
