News nibble: After debuting in April, this Boise restaurant will close dining during July

After opening in April, new Boise restaurant White Rabbit set the stage for shared-plate magic at 4 N. Latah St.

Now prepare for some now-you-see-it, now-you-don’t.

In a temporary vanishing act befitting its name, White Rabbit will shut down restaurant dining during July.

The monthlong closure is for staff holiday, it explained Wednesday on social media.

White Rabbit is not the only Boise restaurant announcing a summer adjustment — or vacation break. Downtown eatery Stardust just unveiled reduced hours with a temporary afternoon/evening menu that trades fine dining for more modestly priced dishes. And Zee’s Rooftop Cafe is closing for five days (Friday through Tuesday) for a daughter’s wedding. (Congrats!)

Normally open for dinner Wednesdays through Fridays, White Rabbit plans to return to business as usual on Wednesday, July 31.

Be aware: The restaurant still plans to host its typical coffee and doughnuts patio event — held the first Saturday of each month — on July 6.

Although it won’t do restaurant dining during the vast majority of July, White Rabbit will have its usual coffee and doughnuts on the first Saturday of the month.
