See which queen Mama Ru told to sashay away every week.

In the great tradition of... every episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, for each queen that sets foot inside the studio for a new day in the Werk Room, one — or, sometimes, two — must sashay away to join the growing sisterhood of Drag Race eliminations. As season 16 intensified, so, too, did Mama Ru’s chopping block, with the cast of 14 gorgeous, gorgeous girls whittling down with each passing week’s lip-sync and dramatic exit.

First eliminated queen: Hershii LiqCour-Jeté

Hershii's EW exit interview quote: “Hated [the Rate-a-Queen twist]! It was the first challenge we were all together, nobody was going to give me immunity, nobody was coming to save me. I knew it boiled down to that lip-sync. I’m a performer, but the electric pop music is not in my wheelhouse. Love the song, but I didn’t know what to do with it. I made it a point, if you’re going to go home, let’s have a good time. I forgot it was a lip-sync and performed to the cameras. I enjoyed myself.”

I’ve never been a very emotional person, I do not like crying, let alone in front of people I’ve never met, let alone on television. That was awful, and I was trying to hide."

Third eliminated queen: Amanda Tori Meating

Amanda’s EW exit interview quote: "I don’t care that I had a rough go at the beginning, there have been tons of girls who’ve fallen on their face and become a beautiful butterfly by the end of the season. I was like, that’s absolutely going to be my tea. I was a bit devastated to have that not be my fantasy, but, I think I’ve butterflied in my own way."

Fourth eliminated queen: Geneva Karr

Geneva's EW exit interview quote: "I’ve received a lot of messages, people thanking me for shining light on national television and for representing all of us…. Also at shows, they show up and get emotional and tear up, and then get me emotional and teared up…. They show me their DACA cards and they’re like, “Take a picture with me with the card!” A message to people that would potentially come to the U.S., be very careful, they’re not issuing any more DACA cards out there, so be careful. But, if it’s your dream, follow your dreams. Never give up. I’ve certainly never given up. I’m proof of the American dream that my parents set out for myself. If you can vote for us, vote so we can continue to exist and renew our DACA cards, because we have to renew them every two years and just feel safe, because this is all we know and it allows us to work and be here and be on RuPaul’s Drag Race."

Megami's EW exit interview quote: "I’m not a flipping kind of girl, I don’t do tricks and splits. I love doing weird artistic s---, lots of sad songs, so this is kind of more up my alley. I don’t know much of what Mhi’ya did because I was going to focus on the words of this song and the emotion and intent behind the song, and kind of stare Ru down and make that connection and feeling the feelings of Miley Cyrus. Maybe Ru didn’t like me looking her in the eye and saying, “I can love me better than you can."

We still DM, we talk, he’s very sweet and nice. When I got eliminated, he made sure that I was okay and cool. He really didn’t want me to go home. He tried his best to do his best. I potentially do see him doing drag in the future, but I just wonder how that would be. Another Maddy Morphosis, for sure."

Honestly, I don’t know if staying longer in the competition has benefitted me more [as it might’ve if I left] earlier. It’s always that kind of toss-up with how you’re perceived by the audience. Who knows if me even staying this long was good. I’m at peace with it."

Twelfth eliminated queen: Plane Jane

Plane's EW exit interview quote: "I think I backed up every piece of smack that I talked this season, and I’m extremely proud of every aspect of my performance, including the finale. I gave a fantastic showing. Nymphia and Sapphira are incredible queens and competitors. It was fair. Of course, it was disappointing not to get a chance to partake in the final lip-sync, but that mild disappointment I felt in the moment pales in comparison to the sense of pride and accomplishment I felt for being a finalist on such an incredible season with such a stacked cast."

Sapphira's EW exit interview quote: "If it didn’t come down to that final lip-sync, I won the whole thing. It definitely came down to that final lip-sync, and that final lip-sync only. I could not have done any better on my solo number. It was chef’s kiss, no notes, 100 percent A+, honey. The energy from the room while performing it was an energy I’ve never felt in my life. Everyone was on the tips of their seats."

Winner: Nymphia Wind

Nymphia's EW winner interview quote: "As an Asian kid brought up in Asia, we're not taught to be vocal or voice ourselves. We're taught to be subtle, quiet, and keep to ourselves. I'm not one to boast about being good at this or that. I'm a wallflower. Self-confidence has always been a thing throughout my life. Even after winning, you wake up some days and you're not feeling yourself, and other days you wake up super confident. You have to remember to acknowledge the good and the bad and see it as a whole. When you have those bad days, remember the good days are going to come. The bad days aren't forever. Be graceful, and know that people are out there just like you, even if they may seem confident in themselves. There are things in them you have to find time to see. Winning and this validation is beyond. I always wanted to be the first East Asian queen to win and now I've achieved that."
