Nicole Kidman Goes Backless in Black Atelier Versace Dress at ‘Expats’ Premiere in New York

Nicole Kidman attended the premiere of her new series, “Expats,” on Sunday in New York in a black backless gown by Atelier Versace with a draped neckline, mint green lining and a sultry thigh-high slit.

Kidman accessorized with diamond jewelry, including drop earrings, bracelets and a jeweled watch, as well as a pair of sharp black pumps by Manolo Blahnik. Stylist Jason Bolden, who also counts Cynthia Erivo, Vanessa Hudgens and “Euphoria” star Storm Reid as clients, dressed Kidman for the occasion.

“You are so talented @nicolekidman and I am honored to see you in my designs,” wrote the Italian brand’s artistic director, Donatella Versace, on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time Kidman has favored looks from Versace’s couture label. She previously Atelier Versace designs at the 2020 Golden Globes and at the 2016 InStyle Awards.

“Expats,” which debuts on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, stars Kidman, Ji-young Yoo and Sarayu Blue as a close-knit group of friends living abroad in Hong Kong. Based on Janice Y.K. Lee’s 2016 novel, “The Expatriates,” the new drama series is directed by Lulu Wang, who previously helmed 2019’s Golden Globe-winning film “The Farewell.”
