Nicole Kidman is a proud mother to her four children, but after giving birth for the first time, fear quickly started setting in because she struggled with a milestone that women often get the chance to experience with their newborn babies.

The 57-year-old opened up about how she felt after giving birth for the first time, and revealed that she needed assistance with how to breastfeed in a new interview with TIME.

"I was terrified, asking, 'What just happened? Where's my milk?'" the Babygirl actress recalled of being able to breastfeed on her own, just days after giving birth. "I remember standing naked in the shower, and my sister helped me. She was my source of strength. She'd had five children — she had the wisdom to pass on."

Kidman shares her adoptive children, Bella and Connor Cruise, with ex Tom Cruise, and daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret with husband Keith Urban. Now, her youngest daughters are in their teens and borrowing items from her wardrobe.

While speaking W. Magazine in January, she revealed that she's giving her daughters her entire red carpet wardrobe—even though they don't return the favor with their own closets.

"I've saved all the red carpet dresses. I have them all beautifully boxed," the actress. "They're museum pieces."

"They raid my wardrobe all the time. I'm like, 'Okay, what's mine is yours,' " Kidman continued. "But I don't raid their closet, even though I'm like, 'Oh, that's cute.' But I'm not allowed to take anything. It's a one-way exchange."
