New North Carolina based seafood restaurant opening in North Myrtle Beach. What we know

A new seafood specialty restaurant opened its doors in North Myrtle Beach.

The new place replaces in the former World of Beer location at the Coastal North Town Center at 1386 U.S. 17 North.

Cape Fear Seafood Company was originally founded in Wilmington, NC and has five other locations in other areas of North Carolina, including Wake Forest and Raleigh.

Based on their website, this is the first franchise to open in South Carolina.

Demolition for the new location started before mid-June, according to previous reporting.

Their menu offers a litany of different seafood options from Crab Dip and Peel and Eat Shrimp to Calabash Fried Oysters and Fried Scallops Basket.

They’re open seven days a week and serve lunch, brunch and cocktails.
