You Can Now Buy These Luxe Saunas in the U.S. for the First Time
For the first time, Americans will be able to get their hands on luxury saunas from Klafs stateside.
The German brand is expanding into the U.S. market with the launch of two sauna styles: the Valora and the Ariso, Robb Report exclusively reports. The new offerings come after Klafs, which has been around since 1928, was acquired by Kohler in January.

The Ariso sauna, starting at $12,500, harkens back to old-school saunas with the use of Scandinavian spruce both inside and out. (A dark-walnut veneer is also available for the exterior.) Inside, you’re treated to sunset lighting that comes from behind the backrests, along with four pre-set temperature and humidity combinations. A touchscreen allows you to adjust the time, temperature, humidity, and experience settings with a simple finger tap. The heat, meanwhile, comes from Klafs’s Fero freestanding heater, a compact and quiet machine that sits behind protective wooden rails for extra safety.
The Valora, meanwhile, is for those who want to take in the scenery while they sweat out their toxins. Starting at $25,500, the sauna features edge-to-edge views and full-length glass panels, helped along by the Bonatherm under-bench heater, which fits neatly under the seating to allow for extra space and safety. Via the touchscreen, you can switch between pre-set climate experiences including tropical steam, gentle steam, aromatherapy, and warm air. Choose from either Canadian hemlock with a white satin finish or dark waxed walnut with a matte black finish.
“KLAFS is an international market leader that shares our passion for innovation, design, and relentless pursuit of providing exceptional wellness products, services, and experiences,” Bonnie Choruby, the president of Kohler’s luxury and wellness brands group, said in a statement. “These new top-of-line saunas are wellness solutions that can enhance the level of self-care enjoyed at home and in wellness destinations.”
Along with the saunas, Klafs offers a handful of accessories to complement your steam. The brand’s bucket and ladle allow you to indulge in a steam infusion, known as the German “aufguss,” while aromatics add an olfactory note to your session. There are also Mollis cushions to make your steam even cozier, made of textiles that are more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk, and cooler than linen, according to the brand.
You certainly could journey to a spa for a luxe sauna experience. But Klafs allows you to bring that same sort of rest and relaxation into your very own home.
