I'm a big believer that some of the best make-up products don't need to come with a luxury price tag – even more so now with the price of everything else going up.

Many of my favourite products in my beauty routine cost less than £10 and my new favourite is the Nyx Professional Makeup Fat Oil Lip Drip Gloss.

It's a tinted lip oil that blurs the line between make-up and skincare and has fast become a regular in my make-up routine.

It's proven extremely popular on TikTok which is where I first discovered the new launch. User Nicolette Pennisi's video demonstrating how they look on the lips has over 700,000 views.

Meanwhile, beauty influencer Mango Monica's video has a whopping 1.2 millions views, and the hashtag #nyxfatoillipdrip has 11.3 million views.

Available in eight versatile shades from bubblegum pink to chocolate brown, I'm recommending it to everyone I know.

Lip oils are one of my favourite ways to wear colour without commitment and I'm always keen to avoid dry, chapped lips. This one does both.

🛍️ Reasons to buy

Firstly, the price is fantastic value and a lot less than leading lip oils on the market from Dior and Clarins, which cost over £20 each.

I like the shades Newsfeed and Supermodel, two pink and red-toned colours that are the perfect boost to your natural lip colour.

They have a large doe-foot applicator which makes applying the glossy formula easy to do in just two swipes and the consistency means it keeps its colour and high-shine finish for hours.

It's a slightly tacky consistency that helps the sheer colour stay put without it feeling greasy. I love how low maintenance it is – you don't have to worry about the formula smudging when you eat, and it's easy to touch up without the need for a mirror.

Reasons to avoid

As these are tinted lip oils, they don't have the same pigment as a lipstick, so if you're looking for an opaque colour, these are not for you.

Other than that, our only gripe is how fast they sellout, which makes getting your hands on one a bit tricky, but it's well worth it I promise.
