October's Full Moon Was the Brightest Supermoon of 2024 — See the Most Spectacular Photos

The brightest supermoon of 2024 dazzled across the world on Oct. 17, from London to Sri Lanka

October's full moon on Oct. 17 — also known as the Hunter's Moon — was not only a stunning supermoon, it was the brightest one of 2024.

This particular supermoon was extra special since its orbit was closest to Earth, which made it appear brighter than any other supermoons this year, per Space.com.

NASA also confirmed that October's supermoon is the third of four consecutive supermoons, meaning skygazers will have one more chance to catch a supermoon on Nov. 15.

According to astrologer Valerie Mesa, this supermoon was astrologically one of the "most potent and tumultuous" full moon phenomenons of the year because it was in fiery Aries, causing Cardinal signs to feel extremely impulsive during this time.

Despite the intense energy astrologically for some zodiac signs, the full moon was spectacular still a sight to see. Read ahead for the best photos of the 2024 Hunter's Moon from around the world.
