How old are you in 2025? Key ages for retirement, voting, driving, buying alcohol, more

How old are you turning in the new year? Maybe you can finally apply for retirement, vote in the next election or get behind the wheel. Or maybe, 2025 is just another year.

The majority of age-related milestones seem to occur throughout one's teenage years and young adulthood, with obtaining a driver's license at age 16, voting at 18, and being able to purchase and consume alcohol at 21, to name a few. However, seniors, especially those over the age of 62, may be counting down the day until they can file for Social Security.

The new year also represents the start of Generation Beta, which will encompass individuals born between 2025 and 2039. Members of this new generation will be the children of younger millennials and older Gen Zers, and many will likely see the 22nd century.

Here's a round-up of key age milestones for 2025.
