Who Is Oliver Hudson's Wife? All About Erinn Hudson
Oliver Hudson met his wife, Erinn Hudson, in an acting class
Oliver Hudson and Erinn Hudson have been married since 2006 — but they didn't rush to walk down the aisle.
Knowing that his mother, Goldie Hawn, and her partner, Kurt Russell, have had a successful decades-long relationship without getting married, Oliver didn't necessarily see a need to tie the knot.
"I didn't want to get married. I thought that the perfect relationship was Kurt and Mom," Oliver explained on a 2022 episode of E!'s Daily Pop.
He said that Erinn, who was born and raised in Massachusetts and competed in pageants before becoming an actress, "told her parents, like, 'Hey guys, you're traditional New Englanders, just so you know I'm with a dude who's an L.A. weirdo and we might not get married, so just get ready for that.' "

Eventually — and with some convincing from his mom — the Rules of Engagement, Nashville and Scream Queens actor changed his tune and proposed to Erinn in 2004. Oliver and Erinn got married in 2006 and have since welcomed three children together: Wilder, Bodhi and Rio.
So, who is Oliver Hudson's wife? Here's everything to know about Erinn Hudson and her relationship with the actor.
She met Oliver during an acting class
On a 2021 episode of the Sibling Revelry podcast, which Oliver co-hosts with sister Kate Hudson, the couple opened up about how their relationship began.
Oliver met his now-wife in Sandy Marshall's acting class in the late '90s. While Erinn admits that she noticed him, she recalled thinking that he was "cute" but wasn't her "style or vibe." After a few classes, Erinn and Oliver were paired together for a scene and really got to know each other during their rehearsals.
Although Oliver had a girlfriend at the time, the two became friends, and after about a year and a half, they took their friendship to the next level.
The pair went to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl and that's when they really fell in love, Oliver said.
Oliver had to be convinced to propose
When he was younger, Oliver wasn't sure that he ever wanted to get married. After watching his parents — Hawn and Bill Hudson — go through a divorce, he was afraid to commit to marriage. However, a conversation with his mom convinced Oliver otherwise.
"I got Erinn jewelry every Christmas and that was part of my thing, and finally I bring some rings to my mom — not engagement rings — and she's the one who says, 'What are you doing? Do you want to spend the rest of your life with this person or not?' And I said, 'Yes, I do. I'm deeply in love but I'm just scared,' " Oliver recalled on E!'s Daily Pop.
"And she says, 'It's a token. You don't have to get married right away,' " he explained. "So I gave her the ring and it was very scary and we were engaged for two and a half years."

She got engaged to Oliver in 2004
On Feb. 19, 2004, Oliver popped the question. He had just bought a home in West Hollywood when he decided he wanted to propose, which added a dramatic touch to his planning.
"There's boxes everywhere, sort of movie style. And we had some food, it's raining. And I had this whole plan, I've got the ring, I've rehearsed a little bit of a speech," Oliver recalled on the Sibling Revelry podcast.
"I wrote her a note, I was going to make her cry," he continued. The two got into bed and he had planned to pull the ring out — but things didn't go as planned. Oliver asked, "Do you know how much I love you?" and Erinn responded "Yes," but he was banking on her saying "No."
Thankfully, he was saved when Erinn said, "This is the best night ever." Oliver then pulled out the ring and told Erinn that the night was going to get much better.
Oliver was unfaithful after proposing
During an April 2024 episode of Sibling Revelry, Oliver admitted to cheating on Erinn ahead of their wedding.
"When I got engaged, something happened psychologically, and I spiraled, and I was unfaithful, and I was cheating, and I was crazy," he said. "I never got caught. I told her everything because I couldn't live with myself and get married and be married and have children with this sort of weight."
Her bachelorette party was organized by Oliver's sister, Kate
After her brother got engaged, Kate took control when it came to planning Erinn's bachelorette party.
A few weeks before the wedding, in the spring of 2006, Kate, Erinn and some girlfriends went to Las Vegas for a girls-only trip.
She married Oliver in Mexico in 2006
On June 9, 2006, Oliver and Erinn got married in Mexico in front of about 90 people, including close family members and friends. The bride wore a gown designed by Les Habitudes, and the groom wore a Ralph Lauren suit.
"I didn't want anyone there that I didn't know," Oliver said on the Sibling Revelry podcast. His sister, Kate, was on hand with her then-husband Chris Robinson, and their son, Ryder Robinson, was the ring bearer.
She has three kids with Oliver
Erinn and Oliver knew that they wanted to start a family together, and they started trying right after they got married. "I want babies," Oliver told PEOPLE after their engagement. "I think I'll be a great dad."
He and Erinn found out they were expecting almost a year after their wedding. In August 2007, the couple welcomed a baby boy named Wilder Brooks.
"It was crazy, the most insane, intense experience of my life," Oliver told Carson Daly on Last Call about his first son's birth. "I went through every range of emotions ... the fear and love, it was all coming down on me at once. It was intense."
When their second son Bodhi Hawn arrived in March 2010, his grandmother made the announcement on X (formerly known as Twitter).
"Hurray! Baby BOY born to my son Oliver and his beautiful wife Erinn TODAY," Hawn wrote. "So happy! A new life! I'm Dancin my happy dance!"
In July 2013, Erinn and Oliver welcomed their third child, daughter Rio Laura, making them a family of five. As the kids have gotten a little older, Oliver has taken it upon himself to make sure he embarrasses them as much as possible.
"You're not a father unless you're embarrassing your children," he said on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in March 2022.
She appeared on The Cleaning Lady alongside Oliver
Erinn has more than two dozen acting credits to her name and has appeared on several TV shows — including NCIS and Rules of Engagement — as well as in a handful of movies, including Raising Helen, which starred her sister-in-law, Kate.
Though she did not work in Hollywood for several years as she focused on motherhood, Erinn appeared on a 2022 episode of The Cleaning Lady, playing Oliver's character's ex-wife.
She and Oliver started a podcast together
After making a few joint appearances on Sibling Revelry, Erinn and Oliver decided to team up for a podcast of their own.
Unconsciously Coupled, which premiered in May 2022, offered an "honest and unfiltered look" into the couple's relationship, per the podcast's bio. They talked about a wide range of topics, including infidelity, anxiety and their kids.
