Olivia Munn might have just gotten over the flu, but she sure didn’t look it as she stunned onstage at Thursday evening’s Critics’ Choice Awards.

The Newsroom actress was the host of the award show, bringing charm, comedy, and of course some important conversation to the forefront at the event. Leading her fellow actors and actresses on the blue carpet, the 37-year-old broke the mold of Sunday evening’s black dress code by wearing a gorgeous red dress, embellished with crystals. The Prada dress and Niwaka jewels set high standards for the rest of the host’s looks — although she managed not to disappoint with any of the three that followed.

When she emerged onstage to greet the audience, Munn veered away from her first sleek dress and opted for something with more texture. The high-neck white dress by Giambattista Valli had red polka dots and delicate frills at the neck, waist, and bottom. The gorgeous gown gave people something to talk about at the beginning of the show, before the the actress addressed Hollywood’s looming issue of gender inequality.

Taking the stage in matching outfits, Munn was joined by Niecy Nash for a segment called “Toast to the Good Guys.” Wearing coordinated dark floral looks, they sarcastically expressed their gratitude to all of the men in Hollywood who, against all odds, have continued to act like “regular human beings” by not treating women like “crap.” The segment included a jab at Mark Wahlberg, who was recently outed for receiving drastically higher pay than his female co-star Michelle Williams for reshoots of the film All the Money in the World. Receiving attention from audiences and Twitter users around the world, the vital and hilarious segment was a hit.

Munn saved her most dramatic look for last, as she dazzled in a gorgeous and superglitzy Balmain mini dress and matching pumps — which she didn’t wait long to take off. In her most relatable moment of the night, Munn was seen exiting the stage and taking her shoes off before she even got behind the curtain as soon as she wrapped up the show.

So, it’s nice to know that Olivia Munn is truly just like all of us at the end of a long night.
