Olivia Rodrigo Made the Tiniest Silver Minidress Grunge with Black Knee-High Combat Boots
Olivia Rodrigo showed out at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles delivering a mesmerizing performance and a dazzling silver ensemble.
The “bad idea right?” songstress made a shimmering red-carpet entrance in the tiniest silver metallic minidress that featured a plunging neckline. She made the brilliant frock her own, infusing the look with her signature grunge style in the form of transparent black tights, chunky knee-high platform lace up boots by Doc Marten, and a black manicure. Rodrigo kept her jewelry to a minimum with a few silver rings and wore her long chocolate-brown hair down in waves. For glam, she looked fresh-faced and rosy, opting for a glowy pink blush, a glossy lip, and black winged eyeliner.
Rodrigo took to the stage on Friday night to display her powerhouse vocals, performing “get him back!,” “deja vu,” three-time Grammy nominated “Vampire,” and her latest release “Can’t Catch Me Now - from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.”
The former Disney star will perform again on December 9 in New York. Rodrigo announced on Instagram she will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live with Adam Driver as host, captioning her post “YAYYYYYYY CANT WAIT @nbcsnl 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗.” This will be her second appearance on the show, as she made her debut in 2021 to perform “drivers license” and “good 4 u.”
Rodrigo spoke about her 2021 appearance in an interview with NPR’s World Cafe. “I love SNL. I think SNL is the coolest thing ever, and I've been such a fan of it for a while,” she said. “It's pretty insane that that truly was my second time performing a song that I had written for people. That trajectory of that first album, it still blows my mind. I'm still pinching myself."
Last month, Rodrigo was nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Album of The Year for her sophomore record Guts. The pop princess took home Best Pop Vocal Album for Sour, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Drivers License” in 2022.
