Olivia Wilde debuts newly cut 'French girl' bangs with a knotted doughnut updo
As one (read: filmmaker, actor and Harry Styles' ex) does, Olivia Wilde took to the Fashion Trust Awards red grey carpet just recently to show her support for those emerging designers. Now, while, aptly, slaying in her head-to-toe black ensemble, what caught our attention for its ~point blank~ transformation was her freshly cut hair. Enter: 'French girl' bangs.
Not only did Olivia step out with a face-framing style but she also debuted a darker rooted hair colour, too! The actor has gone from grown-out mousey blonde lengths to a mocha, warm-toned head of hair with touches of caramel highlighted strands. Talk about ringing the new season in fashion, ey?
Oh, and what makes them so Parisian, I hear you ask? Well, their effortlessly chic feel, of course. Take a peak at the before and after pap snaps below:

Celebrity hairstylist, Mara Roszak, who was also the genius behind said look, took to Instagram to share a 360 video reel of Olivia's romantic updo. Watch the below clip that proves exactly why we shouldn't sleep on (metaphorically speaking) what we can't always see. Read: business in the front, party in the back.
Taking to the caption to describe all that she created, Mara writes: "BANGS…but the ones you need💥OLIVIA with what I call a “French girl bang”. They’re a very light long bang that are blended into a jawbone length layer giving a flattering sculpted shape around the face. Perfect if you throw your hair up."
But that's not all, for we cannot dismiss the work of Jo Baker, Olivia's makeup artist, who also re'Grammed the look on her own feed. Sharing the inspo behind the sultry graphic liner look, Jo writes: "Retro femme feels…. some soft vintage finish liner".
Now, before I dash off to recreate this very glam, does anyone else think Olivia's locks look like caramel swirl buns... or am I just hungry? Just me? OK.
