Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte dyes his hair ice blue for Rio

Looks like Ryan Lochte is “Rio ready.”
The 31-year-old U.S. swimmer (who celebrates his 32nd birthday on Wednesday) and 11-time Olympic medalist posted a picture on Instagram Monday showing off his new icy blue locks.
Created by Jenn Jones of Akasa Salon in Atlanta, Lochte wasn’t the only one to go blue. Both Jones and fellow teammate James Feigen also lightened up their locks, Feigen claiming that “getting to do these crazy things with my best friends” is one of his favourite parts of being on Team USA.

After being criticized during the last Olympics for his “frat boy” looks, Lochte’s “new look” may be an attempt to create a new public image of himself. At the very least, he won’t have to worry about his hair clashing with the pool.
