One of the best buffets in the U.S. is in Johnson County, says national publication

Perhaps it was the made-to-order crepes, rotisserie chicken or eggplant Parmesan.

Whatever the reason, fans of Cinzetti’s in Overland Park voted it one of the best all-you-can eat buffets in the country, according to USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Restaurant nominations were first sent to a panel of experts, USA Today said. Editors narrowed down the choices and opened the votes up for readers, who were allowed to cast one vote, once per day.

Cinzetti’s ranked No. 10, with Pennsylvania’s Shady Maple Smorgasbord topping the list.

“Cinzzetti’s Italian Feast is a casual, Tuscan-style restaurant with locations in Northglenn, Colorado, and Overland Park, Kansas. Guests enjoy assembling their own plates at their all-you-can-eat buffet — with over 60 dishes — across a variety of food stations,” the article reads.

Denver-based Cinzetti’s opened its Kansas City area spot at 7201 W. 91st St. in 2003, serving dozens of items at its salad, pasta, and pizza stations.

For $21.89, adults can pile their plates to their hearts’ content. Children eat for $9.99 ($4.99 on Monday and Tuesday) and seniors for $17.99.

Brunch is served on the weekends and includes eggs Benedict, pancakes and omelets.

Cinzetti’s is open from 5 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 5 to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. It is closed on Thursdays.
