Taylor Swift won Album of the Year last night at the Grammys, a major award that was presented by living legend Celine Dion. And while Taylor was visibly excited to see Celine take the stage, some fans felt as though she "snubbed" the icon by not hugging her while accepting the award.
Taylor Swift acting like Celine Dion isn't up there or like she doesn't understand the magnitude of Celine Dion being there to present her that award at a time like this, is the reason I cannot fuck with her as a person. #GRAMMYs

I'm not listening to any excuses...especially after we watched how Miley acted with Mariah at the show's start. This was not her first time at the #GRAMMYs, but her fourth time winning this award. Swifties can dox me or whatever, but considering the significance of Celine coming… https://t.co/xl74DcJCXU

Taylor Swift just took the album of the year trophy from Celine Dion without batting an eye and/or acknowledging that a legendary 🐐 was handing her the award. So cringey for my soul pic.twitter.com/JAJyyR1CdV

Sorry Swifties. But Taylor could’ve took one second and even acknowledge the legend that is Celine. I like Taylor, but this was not OK. pic.twitter.com/SDxwUpup5M

However, other people are pointing out that (once again), this was Taylor's vibe upon seeing Celine hit the stage:
this is taylor when celine walked on stage, so shut the fuck yo because I’ve had enough of you inventing stories just to have some excuse to hate on her pic.twitter.com/nflCWwvRkt

And this is the two of them backstage looking incredible thrilled to be posing together:
Also, keep in mind that a lot was happening in the moment and you can't really judge a person for being overwhelmed and forgetting to hug someone. Just saying!
Anyway, in case you missed Tay's speech upon winning, she told the audience, "I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life, but I feel this happy when I finish a song or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love or when I’m shotlisting a music video or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show. For me, the award is the work. All I want to do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy. It makes me unbelievably blown away that it makes some people happy who voted for this award too. All I want to do is keep doing this. So thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to do what I love so much. Mind blown. Thank you so much."
