Opa! New Greek restaurant opens its doors in North Myrtle Beach. It’s owner’s 2nd eatery
Andreas “Andy” Hartas had plans to open up a second pizza location, but when the pandemic hit, things changed.
Hartas decided to shift his restaurant concept, and instead lean into his Greek heritage.
Simply Greek, 710 Highway 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach, opened Monday, serving homemade Greek dishes that come from Hartas’ godmother, who is from Greece and formerly operated a Mediterranean restaurant, and his family. Hartas owns the restaurant with partner, Jason Kuch.
The restaurant is primarily take-out and delivery, but there are some tables inside, Hartas said.
Menu items will include such traditional Greek dishes as spanakopita, augolemono (chicken and lemon soup), gyros, Greek salad, baklava, and flatbread pizzas.
Hartas also operates Famous Andy’s Pizzeria at 3300 Highway 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach.
