Oprah Winfrey addresses rumours of a wedding with Stedman Graham

Oprah Winfrey is the queen of juggling many projects at once, but one thing that's absolutely not on her to-do list is planning a wedding. Taking to Twitter to shut down reports, the 62-year-old TV titan assured fans that she's not tying the knot with her partner of 30 years, Stedman Graham.

The star felt compelled to set the record straight after receiving messages of congratulations from a handful of friends following a recent media report. "6 people who know me well have called today congratulating me or surprised they weren't invited to my wedding," Oprah tweeted, before clarifying: "IT'S NOT TRUE!!"

Oprah Winfrey has denied reports she is set to marry partner Stedman Graham

The rumours began last week when Star magazine published a story stating that Oprah and Steadman were planning a "dream wedding", followed by a "$4million honeymoon".

A source said: "Oprah was making breakfast for Stedman when he casually made a joke about getting married, and it suddenly dawned on her how Stedman has never asked her for anything or pressured her in any way, and how she's been able to do whatever she wants.

" That's when Oprah connected the dots and realised it was her turn to show how much she cares about what he wants. I heard she said 'yes,' and Stedman couldn't believe it. He thought she was joking with him!"

The long-term couple started dating back in 1986

Oprah and Stedman have been dating since 1986 – and just last year, the star stated that she never wants to get married. "The moment he asked me to marry him, I was like 'Oh, God! Now I actually have to get married?'" she recalled during an appearance on SuperSoul Sunday, saying that her and Stedman agreed to postpone their wedding and then never spoke of it again.

"But what I realised is, I don't want to be married," she said. "Because I could not have the life that I created for myself. I couldn't do it."
