Our New Orleans Restaurant Picks For Taylor Swift Michael Owens

Taylor Swift is heading to yet another Super Bowl to cheer on beau Travis Kelce and we couldn't be more happy for our girl. While rooting for your boyfriend is great and all, we're most excited about all the amazing food Taylor's about to encounter. It is New Orleans after all, the city that's arguably the culinary capital of the country. But with so many tempting options, where are Taylor and Travis likely to dine? Wellll, we've got a few predictions.

Nobu New Orleans

If I was a betting person, I'd put money on Taylor and Travis kicking off their Nola food adventure with a stop at Nobu New Orleans. I mean, Taylor was just spotted at Nobu Downtown in New York earlier this month. And speaking of betting, the newly-opened Nobu is located inside of Caesars New Orleans, which celebrated its grand opening last October. Ideal for a cozy date night, this Nobu location is dimly lit and includes a selection of intimate pods that can fit a small party (you know, if Jason wants to tag along).

On the menu, you'll find savory Nobu staples like Black Cod with Miso, Wagyu Dumplings, and Rock Shrimp Tempura. Given that the restaurant is located in New Orleans, you'll still be privy to a little Southern flair. The Satandagi, for instance, features a New Orleans staple: beignets! The dessert made up of a chocolate Dulce de Leche beignet, Nutella gelato, passion fruit sauce, and caramelized pine nuts.

Dooky Chase

We're sure Taylor and Travis would like to taste a little bit of history during their trip to Nola. A New Orleans staple, Dooky Chase first opened its doors for business in 1941 and they've been serving up piping hot plates of Southern Fried Chicken and Shrimp Creole ever since. The restaurant has also welcomed a who's who of famous faces, including Taylor's friend and fellow pop music powerhouse Beyoncé (maybe Queen Bey can share her fave menu picks). Other notable guests include President Barack Obama and the late Ray Charles.

Peacock Room

"Quick, Jason! Snap this photo of me and Travis!" That's exactly the exchange we picture at the gorgeous, wildly Instagrammable Peacock Room. Located inside the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, Peacock Room is described as an elevated cocktail bar and it certainly lives up to that description. Quite easy on the eyes, the chic space is adorned with enchanting peacocks, inviting jewel tones, and sparkling chandeliers.

Equally enticing is the cocktail bar's food and drink menu. The drink menu features a collection of carefully curated sips, including the aqua blue Point Break (coconut-infused Don Q Rum, Bacardi Ocho, and pineapple juice). On the food end, you'll find a selection of snacks and main dishes. Among the standouts are the Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Goat Cheese Fondue, and Crispy Shrimp & Grits.

The Peacock Bar did go all out for a Taylor Swift-themed party during her New Orleans Eras Tour stop. There was even a Taylor and Travis lookalike contest. We're sure she appreciates the love and might just pop by to reciprocate it.

Jewel Of The South

This cavernous restaurant is the perfect place to escape the frenzy of New Orleans while also enjoying some mouthwatering fare. The award-winning Jewel of the South boasts a luxe dining menu that even includes caviar service. But it's the main dishes that really stand out. With options that include a Foie Gras Parfait, Whole Veal Sweetbread, and Wagyu Tongue we can definitely picture Taylor and Travis ordering the entire menu. And since Taylor is already encouraging Travis to expand his culinary horizons—he recently tried curry for the first time—we can totally see some more food experimentation going down at Jewel of the South.

Octavia

It is New Orleans, so once Taylor and Travis have had their fill of chargrilled oysters, shrimp étouffée, and those Wagyu Dumplings from Nobu they might just make their way to Octavia for a nightcap. We can absolutely see Taylor ordering the Paper Fortune Teller Sazerac. This interactive menu offering lets you choose your own Sazerac flavor through the roll of a dice and a paper fortune teller.

Gabrielle Restaurant

To the question of whether Taylor is a gumbo or a jambalaya girlie, our Spidey senses tell us gumbo. Ergo, Taylor and Travis should take a trip to Gabrielle Restaurant for a bowl of what some might say is the best gumbo in the city. The restaurant's Seafood Gumbo is made with shrimp, crab, crawfish, and okra. The dish is then served over country rice.

We're also pretty confident that with help from Gabrielle, Taylor can change Travis' not-so-hot take on jambalaya. The Kansas City Chiefs player was previously met with outrage after reportedly referring to the dish as a "soupy rice" and "pooey," during his podcast with brother Jason.

Who knows? By the time they're done with this foodie tour, they might just be ready to shake it off on Bourbon Street.
