The Oscars' after-parties: The 10 best dressed
The 2025 Academy Awards took place in Los Angeles last night, bringing with it plenty of excellent red-carpet style. The night saw the likes of Mikey Madison, Ariana Grande and Lupita Nyong'o pull out all the stops with their custom couture, but the fabulous red-carpet fashion did not end there – there was also plenty to enjoy at the various after-parties.
The hot ticket, as always, was the Vanity Fair event, which saw all the biggest names in Hollywood in attendance. While the fashion at the official ceremony is always the epitome of elegance, the dress code at the parties is a little more relaxed, meaning there is often more fun to be had.
This year saw Hunter Schafer in slinky 16Arlington, Kendall Jenner in vintage Mugler and Ana de Armas in a flouncy Louis Vuitton two-piece. Below, we round up our 10 favourite looks from the 2025 Oscars after-parties.
Kendall Jenner in vintage Mugler
There was plenty of vintage at the 2025 Academy Awards, and at the various afterparties. One of our favourite looks came in the form of Kendall Jenner's black lace gown, which was from Mugler's spring/summer 1992 collection.
Anna Sawai in Vivienne Westwood
Anna Sawai kept things super classics in a black Vivienne Westwood gown, complete with a structured silhouette, a glittery finish and a statement choker necklace.
Ana de Armas in Louis Vuitton
Ana de Armas opted for a two-piece in the form of this custom Louis Vuitton design – a white bandeau top with a flamenco-inspired white skirt.
Hunter Schafer in 16Arlington
Hunter Schafer is making the Vanity Fair Oscar party her event. The actress always looks sensational for the event, and this year was no different. She chose a very low-cut silk gown in a Champagne hue by 16 Arlington, teamed with a faux-fur shawl.
Lisa in Miss Sohee
Lisa opted for a unique look by Miss Sohee from the designer's first couture collection – a corseted leather dress with a peplum hem long lace details.
Selena Gomez in Armani Privé
Selena Gomez had an excellent night of fashion, starting the evening off in a blush custom Ralph Lauren gown, and changing into this excellent strapless Armani Privé design for the afterparty.
Joey King in Miu Miu
Joey King embraced ladylike elegance in a Miu Miu gown for her turn on the red carpet. The actress' dress featured a halter neckline, embellished floral detail and a flowing satin train.
Cynthia Erivo in Vivienne Westwood
Cynthia Erivo shunned the gown for the second portion of the evening, wearing a beautiful tulle monochrome dress by Vivienne Westwood.
Maude Apatow in Bode
Maude Apatow was elegance personified in her white gown with fringed metallic detail, pearl earrings and a red lip.
Monica Barbaro in Dolce & Gabbana
Monica Barbaro changed out of her exceptional Dior ballgown for the afterparty into a fitted metallic Dolce & Gabbana dress. Perfection.
