It's true, Britney Spears is returning from her music hiatus to release a duet with the one and only Sir Elton John.

Paris Hilton confirmed the news in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying that she has actually heard the track, and it's an instant hit.

"It's gonna be iconic," she said about the new single. "I just heard it a couple days ago in Ibiza and it is... it's insane."

The Spears and John collab is a new version of his 1972 single, "Tiny Dancer," which was ranked by Rolling Stone last year as one of the 500 greatest songs of all time.

The duet, produced by Andrew Watts, will be released next month by Universal Music and will mark Spears's first musical project since being freed from her 13-year conservatorship. It will also arrive six years after the release of her latest album, Glory.

Spears's return to the spotlight comes as a welcome surprise after the singer said various times on Instagram that her break from music following her conservatorship battle could be permanent.

Earlier this year, she said her father, Jamie Spears, who controlled her conservatorship, "ruined music" for her. And in December of last year, she wrote on Instagram that quitting music was a "way of saying 'f**k you' in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work."

Still, last month, Spears shared a TikTok video of her singing a slow version of her hit "...Baby One More Time," making fans believe that she could be finding her way back to music, indeed.
