People can't believe how much this cosplayer looks like Wonder Woman

Sometimes, cosplay is about paying homage to your favorite characters. But cosplay YouTuber Alyson Tabbitha took her look a few steps further and fully transformed. Fans are having trouble telling her apart from her onscreen counterpart.

This weekend, Tabbitha started a makeup test to rehearse for her transformation into Wonder Woman. It went so well that the day “turned into a full dress rehearsal that resulted in this!!” she wrote on Facebook.

The look starts off with picture-perfect Gal Gadot-inspired makeup. Tabbitha filled in her brows and added bronzer and a subtle smokey eye, then waved her own hair into Wonder Woman’s luxurious mane. Of course, the whole thing is topped off by Wonder Woman’s headband.

She also styled herself in Wonder Woman’s armor, including the famous cuffs and armbands. “The costume isn’t finished yet, since I still need to make the belts, shoes, lasso, and props! But I was so excited I couldn’t resist trying it on!” Tabbitha wrote on Facebook. She made the entire look herself out of craft foam and posterboard, she explains, and used a moldable wood-based material called TreeFlx for the breastplate.

Commenters on Reddit and Twitter are in awe of the movie-ready look.

Of course, the fact that Tabbitha actually does look like Wonder Woman helps: “Step One: look like Gal Gadot,” someone wrote. Tabbitha may have an advantage when it comes to Wonder Woman, but she’s also transformed herself completely in dozens of cosplay looks, becoming Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands, and Padmé from Star Wars.

“Once I saw the Wonder Woman movie I stopped all other projects to prioritize this cause I was so inspired!” Tabbitha wrote.

If you’re just as in love with Wonder Woman but don’t have the cosplaying gene, don’t worry. We’ve got two words for you: Party City.
