The Crocodile on The Masked Singer has the moves, the voice, and the swag, according to judge Jenny McCarthy. Whoever is under there is a triple threat, so are we looking at the potential winner of season 4? During the Croc's first performance he sang "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi, and the judges were floored with his talent. "That was electrifying," Nicole Scherzinger raved.
And when it came time to guess, both Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy thought it was possible that they may be close to the person wearing the mask. Like really close. Like McCarthy might be married to him.
Who is the Crocodile on The Masked Singer?
Some of the clues we got to the Croc's identity were an Italian flag, the fact that he grew up in the industry, he loves water, the phrase "wicked big splash," and a pineapple with a fish inside. (No idea what that last one means.)
Based on all of those hints, the judges and fans already have some solid theories.
Crocodile Guess 1: Nick Carter
Carter was almost the Turtle on the last season of The Masked Singer, so it's possible he rescheduled to this season. He's got the boy band connection and a little bit of the Italian flag connection (he's a portion Italian according to his DNA ancestry results). Plus, a lot of fans thought the Croc sounded like him.
There were even more clues leading up to the Crocodile's second performance that point to the former Backstreet Boy member. To start, there were a number of oranges, which could be a nod to his Florida upbringing. Additionally, there was a pirate flag which be a tribute to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carter's favorite football team (He loves them so much, he even got a pirate ship tattoo to honor them.)
I guess you can say in honor of the team that EVERYONE IS SLEEPING ON ! I’ve decided to commemorate the year that we made it back to being contenders. I’m calling it NOW! @Buccaneers #nflplayoffs #playoffbound #takethebet #tampabaybucs #buccaneers #omgwerebackagain #captainbruce pic.twitter.com/4VaxCgC6Ty— Nick Carter (@nickcarter) August 2, 2019
Following the performance, the Crocodile revealed another clue: a bunch of mini dolphins. This could have been a reference to Carter's desire to save the dolphins. Fans felt strongly about Carter being the Crocodile after its second performance, a stunning rendition of "Toxic."
Nick Carter is the crocodile. Why can't they see it. 😂😂😂.— Tiffany Tolleson (@Tiffanyautumn20) October 15, 2020
@nickcarter Psst! Are you the crocodile on the masked singer? I promise I won’t tell. 🐊— Laura K (@LizeK316) October 15, 2020
Crocodile Guess 2: Donnie Wahlberg
Thicke felt like he was getting boy band vibes from the way the Crocodile performed, and since he said "wicked big" in the clue package, Thicke thinks the celebrity may be from Boston. So he guessed Jenny McCarthy's husband, and New Kids on the Block member, Donnie Wahlberg. The judges have guessed him in the past, but even McCarthy seemed on board this time. And it would be really funny for her husband to do the show and not tell her. The fans agreed that it could be him.
I agree with robin thicke, I believe that donnie wahlberg is definitely the crocodile #TheMaskedSinger.— Nicholas_Sye (@NicholasSye1) October 1, 2020
Crocodile Guess 3: Nick Lachey
Another boy band possibility is Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees. He was Nicole Scherzinger's guess (because he'd experienced a public breakup) and also several fan guesses as well. He did grow up in the industry, he has the boy band moves, and he's got the voice.
wait crocodile lowkey sounds like nick lachey or is it just me.. #TheMaskedSinger— calミ☆AG6 (@trobedsknope) October 1, 2020
