‘Percolate your senses’ with Whatcom County’s free coffee crawl; sample brews and earn prizes

Visit Whatcom County’s coffee shops in the second annual Sustainable Connections Coffee Crawl, which allows people to sample the county’s best drinks and earn points toward prizes this summer.

“The Coffee Crawl is a delicious and caffeine-forward way of exploring Whatcom County. The Pacific Northwest is famous for its coffee, and we’re so fortunate to have an abundance of options in this community. Not only are you delighting your tastebuds, you’re also supporting local businesses, which is more important than ever,” Molly Bressers, Sustainable Connections’ business engagement specialist said in a news release.

The free coffee crawl runs Aug. 1-31 and uses a digital passport program for participants to track their progress. Participants will check in to each stop online to collect points and earn prizes. To join, visit the Sustainable Connection website to sign up and start checking in to each location you visit.

“The Coffee Crawl is a digital passport program designed to percolate the senses and support locally owned businesses all in the same cup of goodness,” the news release states.

Participants are encouraged to support local coffee shops through the purchase of any beverage and by bringing reusable cups.
