Some men at the Calgary Stampede are learning — the hard way — period cramps are not for the weak.

On Monday, Vancouver-based period pain relief company Somedays shared a TikTok from their pop-up at the 2023 Calgary Stampede, where they gave volunteers a chance to experience "menstrual pain."

In the viral video, a Somedays representative hooked two men up to a period pain simulator before she quizzed them about menstrual cycles. For every incorrect answer, she raised the pain level up by one notch. According to her, levels five to seven represent the average woman's pain level while menstruating.

"How long is a typical menstrual cycle?," she asked, as well as, "Can you get pregnant during your period?," to which both men replied incorrectly.

By the time the Somedays rep asked, "At what age can a person start menstruating?," both men appeared physically debilitated, however, they answered incorrectly taking them to a level eight and nine.

"You're tough," one of the men said, seemingly pointing toward a woman off-camera.

After both making it to a level 10, one of the men said, "Can we get a round of applause for every woman in this crowd?"

The TikTok quickly garnered laughs from viewers in the comments.

"This needs to be ended always with a, 'Wow, you're so emotional right now. Calm down and smile,'" one TikTok user penned alongside a laughing emoji.

"As a woman, this is so incredibly satisfying," wrote another.

"Now, guys, go to work, take care of the kids, drive your car and talk to people like nothing is happening!," another person chimed in. One person added: "Brave men and hilarious!"

"Now add actual bleeding, bloating, gas, period poops, hormonal changes, clots, etc.," someone quipped.

In another TikTok, a third man who volunteered to try out the period pain simulator shared a very wholesome response.

"Respect to all of you queens out there," he said after level seven, adding he would "definitely" be calling in sick to work.

Off-camera, another man testing out the simulator nearby said, "I feel like I'm being attacked by law enforcement right now!"

"Respect to all the ladies. Respect," the man concluded, after reaching level 10.
