Pleasing Scents? Harry Styles Is Debuting 3 Fragrances Next Month

Along with his music, Harry Styles has become well known and well admired for his fashion choices. Now the pop star will find out whether his sense of smell gains the same sort of following.

Styles’s brand Pleasing will launch fragrances next month, Hypebeast reported on Monday. The three scents—called Closeness, Rivulets, and Bright and Hot—were made in collaboration with the natural perfume maker Robertet, a French fragrance house that’s been around since 1850. And while few details have been released about what the trio’s bouquets, Styles’s fans are likely to snap them up quickly regardless.

“Being a brand that is deeply rooted in the exploration of color, emotional storytelling and sensory experiences. . .it is a strategic move for us to expand into this category,” Pleasing CEO Shaun Kearney told The Business of Beauty.

To promote the new fragrances, Pleasing will include peel-off strip samples with its online orders. And while the three scents will at first be available only through the company’s website, the brand hopes to bring them to physical stores, too, which makes sense given that it’ll otherwise be difficult to test out the fragrances before buying them (unless, of course, you received one of the fragrance strips in a prior order).

Styles founded Pleasing back in November 2021, selling beauty items like nail polish and skincare products like serums, moisturizers, and lip balms. The brand expanded into apparel and accessories, before opting to venture into fragrance. In the past, Styles has also teamed up with other companies to give the masses a taste of his personal style: Last year, for example, he worked with Gucci on a ’70s-inspired collection with a touch of the musician’s playfulness. (He also sported the Italian fashion house’s collab with Adidas while on tour this summer.)

While the “As It Was” singer’s style is pored over online, his taste in fragrance hasn’t been as closely detailed. Let’s hope the Pleasing scents live up to their name—and are a pleasant entry into the crowded fragrance market.
