British plus-size model Felicity Hayward just gave a lesson in body confidence in the face of adversity.

The 29-year-old model, who founded ‘Self Love Brings Beauty’ – an digital movement focused on self-love – was recently targeted for her body while on holiday in Greece.

Posting on Instagram, Hayward revealed a recent trip to the beach with friends had resulted in her being mocked by two “toned gym bod” beachgoers, who were “making fun, laughing and taking photos” of her and her friends.

The anecdote was accompanied by the perfect clap-back: a super hot bikini pic, where Hayward proudly showed off her curvy figure despite the teasing.

“To the couple sitting on the beach making fun, laughing and taking photos of me and my friends enjoying our holiday in lil bikinis,” she wrote, “I will stand in front of you for 15 mins and take this banging photo because my body is just as worthy as yours sweetie.”

She went on: “Just because you have a toned gym bod doesn’t mean you are worthy of more respect.”

Hayward finished her comeback by saying: “Comparison is the stealer of joy, so I’m gunna live my best life just like this and you can carry on with dealing with your own insecurities” (sic).

In the photo, the model – who has modelled for the likes of L’Oreal, Missguided, i-D and Vogue – poses with her back to the camera while wearing a black bikini.

We could all take a leaf out of Felicity’s book, don’t you think?
