It might not be what you expect.

While we love swinging through the drive-thru on a busy day or road trip—and even hanging out in our local fast food restaurant—there’s something to be said for making our chain favorites at home. Copycat recipes are, of course, great for this, but what’s even better is when the actual brand releases its sanctioned products in the grocery store.

With Chick-fil-A selling its sauces, Arby’s its curly fries, and White Castle its burgers and chicken rings, it makes us feel OK about saying “there’s food at home” as we drive past our favorite fast food joint. For the first time, Popeyes is joining these fast food brands and launching a new grocery line—but it might not be the products you’d expect.

Popeyes Launches Its First-Ever Grocery Line

Sure, we’d clear out a freezer aisle that had Popeyes’ internet-breaking chicken sandwich in it, but the brand is going in a different direction for its first launch. This spring, Popeyes is releasing two of its fan-loved sauces in 18-ounce bottles at grocery stores nationwide.

Beginning March 15, Popeyes will sell its Blackened Ranch and Sweet Heat sauces at major retailers, including Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, Food Lion, and Amazon.

Popeyes’ Blackened Ranch is its savory, slightly spicy alternative to its classic Buttermilk Ranch. The sauce features its signature blackened seasoning blend—like the one on its Blackened Chicken—which is typically a combo of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, and thyme, mixed into its buttermilk ranch.

The Sweet Heat sauce is just as it sounds, made with sweet honey and spicy Aleppo pepper hot sauce for the ultimate “swicy” dipper.

Both sauces have long been a fan-favorite at the drive-thru, and soon they’ll be joined by a third fave at the grocery store. In May, Popeyes plans to release its Mardi Gras Mustard in bottles. The condiment is a creamy Creole mustard mixed with a bold, spicy horseradish—perfect for any sandwich.

Popeyes' three new bottled sauces will be available all year round, so you can bring the Louisiana flavors to your kitchen anytime. Hopefully, Popeyes will follow in Arby’s footsteps, which started its grocery store line-up by selling its Horsey and Arby’s sauces before expanding to frozen foods. So, maybe we’ll one day get the fan-loved chicken in the freezer aisle. For now, we’re excited to sauce up our chicken, fries, and more with some Popeyes flair.
