Prince George and Princess Charlotte may never receive your Christmas present

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are sent thousands of gifts from royal fans across the world but it turns out the lucky young royals will never see the majority of them.

Kensington Palace has revealed that most of the presents are donated to relevant children’s charities with a tiny few being given to the royal children.

“Some items will be taken into the home and others stored within the Royal Household,” said a spokesperson for the Palace.

“On occasion, and where appropriate, items may be donated to organisations who can make good use of them.”

“Their Royal Highnesses are incredibly grateful for the warmth and generosity that has been extended to their children from members of the public.”

It’s likely that four-year-old Prince George will be receiving the police car that he asked for this Christmas. Two-year-old Princess Charlotte is likely to be given a doll house or something similar.
The pair will have a little less time to wait than the average child as the Royal Family tend to open their presents on Christmas Eve.

The Queen left for her Sandringham estate on Thursday and will be joined by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the three-day festive celebrations.
