Prince Harry Arrives in London to See King Charles
Prince Harry is back in the United Kingdom to see his father, King Charles, following the British monarch's cancer diagnosis.
Yesterday, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles has cancer—though they did not disclose what type of cancer the king has. It is understood that before the news was shared with the public, the King personally told his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, and his siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.
T&C reported yesterday that Prince Harry would be heading to the UK in the coming days, but his trip back was sooner than expected: The Duke reportedly took a red-eye flight from Los Angeles last night, and arrived at Heathrow Airport this morning. It marks his first time in the UK this year (the last time Harry was back was in September 2023, for the WellChild Awards).
He was not joined by his wife, Meghan Markle, or their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. It's unclear where Harry will stay while he's visiting the UK this week; last year, the King asked the Sussexes to move out of their Frogmore Cottage home on the Windsor Estate, with a spokesperson for the Sussexes confirming that "the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage."
Next week, Prince Harry and Meghan are set to travel to Canada to celebrate one year to go until the 2025 Invictus Games in Vancouver and Whistler, but it's uncertain if this trip will be impacted by the news around King Charles's health.
