Prince Harry is open to the possibility of supporting his father, King Charles III, at his highly-anticipated coronation this year.

In a new trailer released ahead of ITV's broadcast of his new tell-all interview on Sunday, Tom Bradby asks the Duke of Sussex if he would attend the coronation if invited. "There's a lot that can happen between now and then, but the door is always open. The ball is in their court," Harry says. "There's a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they are willing to sit down and talk about it."

In another clip from the ITV interview, the royal says he still believes in the monarchy but, when asked if he'll play a part in its future, he answers, "I don't know."

Harry also speaks on his decision to publicly speak about his woes with his family since stepping back as a senior member of the royal family in 2020. "I don't know how staying silent is ever going to make things better," he says.

On the criticism that he is violating his family's privacy as someone known to prioritize his own privacy, Harry adds, "That would be the accusation from the people that don't understand or don't want to believe that my family have been briefing the press."

Two interviews given by the Duke of Sussex to ITV and 60 Minutes will air this Sunday. The interviews follow on the heels of his and wife Meghan Markle's bombshell Netflix docuseries, Meghan & Harry, in which the couple claimed that Buckingham Palace had been feeding negative stories about them to the press.

It is not yet known if Harry and Meghan will receive invitations to the king's impending coronation, which will take place later this spring.

Shortly after King Charles ascended the throne after the death of Queen Elizabeth II last year, the monarch gave a speech in which he expressed his support of the couple. "I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas," he said.
