Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Just Shared a Sweet Christmas Card
For fans of the royal family, the holiday season is a gift that keeps on giving. That's because this time of year means that the royals share warm holiday wishes and precious photos from the past 12 months. Today, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their own message to wrap up their historic year.
"Wishing you a joyful holiday season," they said. "From our family to yours, on behalf of our teams at The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Audio, and Archewell Productions, we wish you health, peace, and a very happy new year!"
The couple paired the message with a recent photo of themselves at the Ripple of Hope Award ceremony in early December.
2022 marks a major year for the Sussexes. This spring, the couple made a trip to the Hague to celebrate the Invictus Games—a cause not only close to Harry and Meghan's hearts, but one that's also had special meaning for their relationship over the years. Then over the summer, they headed back to the U.K. for Harry's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, marking not only the Queen's 70th year on the throne but also Harry and Meghan's first joint appearance with the royal family since they stepped back from their roles as working royals in 2020. That trip took on particularly special meaning in September, when the Queen passed away at the age of 96. Harry and Meghan united with the royal family once more to mourn the passing of the beloved monarch.
The year also saw the Sussexes speaking out about themselves more than ever. In August, Meghan launched her podcast, Archetypes, with Spotify, interviewing influential women from around the world and sharing her own stories and perspectives on life, love, and empowering women. December also saw the launch of their much-anticipated Netflix series titled Harry & Meghan, featuring never before seen photos and interviews with the royals as well as their family and friends.
