Prince Louis Turns 5! See the Adorable New Photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton's Youngest
Prince Louis, the youngest Wales kid, turns 5 tomorrow! Louis, the third child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, celebrates his birthday on April 23.
As is now tradition for the royal family, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared two new photographs of the youngster for his birthday. The pictures, taken by photographer Millie Pilkington in Windsor earlier this month, show Louis smiling in a blue sweater as his mom pushes him in a wheelbarrow.
Last year, Louis's fourth birthday photos (which were taken by his mom, Kate) showed the little royal running around Norfolk on the beach. His brother Prince George's fifth birthday portrait was taken after Louis's christening ceremony—time flies!
The royal family is currently gearing up for the biggest event of the year: the coronation of King Charles. While it's as yet unclear if 5-year-old Prince Louis will attend the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey, it's been reported that he will join his older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the procession back to Buckingham Palace. And, we'll likely see Louis join the rest of the royal family on the balcony of the Palace following the service.
There is some precent for royals as young as Louis attending the coronation service at the Abbey; in 1953, at Queen Elizabeth's coronation, a 4-year-old Prince Charles was at the service, sitting in between his grandmother Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and his aunt Princess Margaret. His older brother, Prince George, will have a starring role in the ceremony, as one of King Charles's four pages of honor.
Prince Louis was last pictured with the royal family attending Easter Sunday services, holding tightly to his mom Kate Middleton's hand as he walked into church.
