Prince William Allegedly Couldn’t Eat Ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah Interview
It’s been pretty well-established that Prince William wasn’t thrilled about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah back in 2021, but it wasn’t just what the couple said during the tell-all chat itself. It was also the anticipation of not knowing what they were going to say.
Apparently, William was extremely anxious about the whole thing, and a Mail on Sunday editor-at-large named Charlotte Griffiths is out here spilling on what she ~heard~ about the situation.
Describing William as “sick with worry,” Griffiths explained during an interview, via Page Six, that he “cut himself off from the world, ” adding, “I’ve heard this for a long time now from many different sources…in the lead-up to that Oprah interview, William was quite literally sick with worry.”
“He was not eating, and he became—not reclusive—but he definitely was hiding away,” she went on to claim. “He went to a royal residence for a period of time to cut himself off from the world. He was just in bits, basically.”
As far as Kate Middleton goes, Griffiths said she wanted to “protect” William and stand by him since he was being “destroyed by this.”
Obviously, Wills and Harry haven’t been on the best of terms since the Sussexes did the Oprah interview and don’t appear to be speaking at the moment.
