Being a royal kid comes with a huge amount of media attention. To be honest, it's highly agreeable that Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, are the most famous children in the world. Purely thanks to their mum and dad being the future King and Queen.

Granted, the siblings don't know any different - to them, waving to huge crowds on the balcony of Buckingham Palace is the norm - but for Prince William and Kate Middleton, they want to ensure that their kids have some element of privacy and access to a normal life.

Recently, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams spoke to The Express about the one major fear they have for their offspring. He said: "[Kate and William] are wisely concerned at any overexposure of him [George] and of Charlotte and Louis."

"The younger they are, the more likely they are to steal the show with childish antics which get publicised worldwide and make the monarchy seem more relatable," he added.

He's not wrong - remember when Louis stole the hearts of the nation during the Queen's Jubilee with his funny faces and general silly kid behaviour? Or how about George's hilarious facial expressions at a slew of different royal events?

Fitzwilliams went on to say how 10-year-old George is particularly of interest, considering he's only second in line to the throne.

"Whether as Page of Honour at the Coronation or blowing bubbles on a visit to Canada, whatever he does as he is the future King is of interest."

"We are fed titbits, that George enjoys dancing, plays tennis or likes a pizza, and we get regular photographs of him on special occasions and see him at certain royal events," he continued.

However, Fitzwilliams added that Will and Kate "are well aware of the need for him and his siblings to have privacy as they grow up."

Make no mistake - this isn't the first time the Prince and Princess of Wales have shown concern about "overexposure."

Back in September, Kate opted not to join her husband on a trip to New York simply so she could stay at home and be there for George, Charlotte and Louis. Apparently, the couple make sure that at least one parent is at home when the children are around to help with homework or just enjoy normal family time.

A royal insider also spoke to People in July to report that Will and Kate are doing everything they can to ensure that George especially has a regular childhood, while simultaneously preparing him for the throne.

"It's a massive balancing act. William and Kate are doing the right thing, protecting him so he can have as normal a childhood as possible, but he's also dipping into duties as a future monarch," they shared.

Thanks to William's influence, the insider revealed that George is "getting firsthand experience of what it's like to be a royal," and due to Kate's non-royal background, "firsthand experience of being a normal boy."
