Princess Eugenie Says Motherhood "Impacted My Desire to Do More"

In a recent interview, Princess Eugenie opened up on how motherhood has changed her life.

"Since August came into my life, it's positively impacted my desire to do more," Eugenie who is mom to 2-year-old August, and is expecting her second child with husband Jack Brooksbank, told Hello. "Priorities change when you have children; you want to do everything you can for them—and for your grandchildren. August is only two but I hope that what I'm doing will seep through to him and that one day he takes it on, too."

The "desire to do more" Princess Eugenie talks about refers to her recent work on helping protect the environment. She is an ambassador for the Blue Marine Foundation, an organization helping protect the biodiversity of the oceans.

Last week, she visited their Solent Seascape Project "to see the important work being done to restore coastal marine life and meet key project partners at one of the most ambitious environmental projects in the UK."

According to Blue Marine, "From undertaking biosecurity checks on the native oysters, to lowering nurseries into Langstone Harbour, The Princess’s hands-on visit of this partnership project to restore marine habitat and biodiversity shines a light on the extraordinary efforts being undertaken to breathe life back into the Solent’s waterways."

Eugenie told Hello, "I couldn't wait to come down, and seeing it first-hand is pretty cool. It’s amazing to watch these people dedicate their time to the bio-diversity of our seas, and I want to do as much as I can to help, too."
