Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Zara Tindall were pretty in pink for royal garden party
Royal fashion often takes the spotlight at Buckingham Palace garden parties, and yesterday’s fete was no exception.
The garden parties are traditionally hosted by the sovereign, but heir to the throne Prince William stepped in for father King Charles III to host this week's event. The prince invited several of his cousins to the springtime affair, including Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall — all of whom coordinated in pink and white outfits.
Beatrice brightened up the rainy day in a vibrant fuchsia Beulah London dress, which featured pearl buttons and a ruffled detail along the side of the bodice and the sleeve cuffs. She paired the bright piece with nude multi-strap Jennifer Chamandi pumps, a white woven clutch bag, and a chunky white headband covered in bejewelled silver mesh.
Younger sister Eugenie took a more understated approach with her outfit, opting to wear an elegant white dress with short sleeves and asymmetric draping detail along the waist. She finished off the look with similarly soft accents, like a pale-pink floral hat with a bow at the back and studded ivory satin pumps.
For her part, Tindall looked party-ready in a structured white midi dress with a crisp collar, puffed sleeves, a belted waist, and bubblegum-pink buttons lining the centre. She continued the pink theme with other elements of her outfit — including a straw hat with a ruffled tulle accessory adorning the brim, and a pair of suede pointed-toe pumps.
The royal family’s official website describes the annual garden parties as “an important way for members of the Royal Family to speak to a broad range of people from all walks of life, all of whom have made a positive impact in their community”. The site notes that each summer, the British monarch usually hosts three garden parties at Buckingham Palace and one at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland.
Charles hosted this summer’s first palace garden party on 8 May, joined by Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.
