Queen Camilla has left the London Clinic, where King Charles underwent treatment for his prostate. As she left the hospital, the Queen told those gathered outside that her husband is "fine, thank you."

This morning, Buckingham Palace said, "The King was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment. His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness." (King Charles disclosed he was being treated for a benign enlarged prostate, and NHS officials said searches have soared for the condition.)

It is understood that the procedure has taken place, and King Charles is doing well.

Before he was admitted into the London Clinic, the King visited his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton who is recovering in the same hospital following her abdominal surgery. The Princess of Wales, unlike the King, did not share details of her condition. Kensington Palace said, "She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private."

While King Charles, the Princess of Wales, and Prince William are all absent from public duties (William has postponed engagements to care for his wife and children), Queen Camilla has undertaken a number of engagements.

Earlier this week, she visited Refuge's Gaia Centre, where she met privately with survivors of domestic abuse, and also visited Deacon & Son Jewellers, as the company celebrates its 175th anniversary. During her engagements, she has been given get well cards for the King.
