Burgundy had a major resurgence in 2024, with stars like Winnie Harlow and Zoe Saldaña styling iterations on the tone. The deep hue is popular with royals, especially Kate Middleton.
The Princess of Wales previously wore a completely monochrome burgundy look in December 2024 for a special welcome ceremony for the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his wife Sheikha Jawaher to London as part of their state visit to the United Kingdom. Kate wore a burgundy coat courtesy of Alexander McQueen for the occasion. She coordinated her accessories and her footwear to match the tone of her coat.
Queen Letizia, like several royals, has a style all her own. The Spanish queen’s royal wardrobe features an eclectic mix of traditional pieces and splashes of modernity. On the whole, Queen Letizia’s style incorporates timeless elements with classic elegance.
