Queen Letizia styles a grey suit with this versatile winter shoe
The Queen of Spain’s relatable style is the gift that keeps on giving.
Yesterday, the royal attended the closing of the 17th International Seminar on Language and Journalism in San Millan de la Cogolla, Spain. For the daytime engagement, she dressed down a suit with the ultimate versatile shoe: the loafer.
The core of the royal’s ensemble was a sleek, textured iron-grey suit. It included a long, fitted double-breasted blazer with black buttons and several pockets, and the perfect pair of wide-leg trousers. Letizia wore the set simply over a black top, and accessorised with sculptural gold earrings and a ring.
But the cherry on top of the look was her footwear: black leather loafers with ruched detailing at the front and a low, chunky block heel. In the past couple of years, the timeless shoe has quickly taken over the wardrobes of fashion girls everywhere, and now, it even has the Spanish royal seal of approval.

Ever the experimental muse when it comes to her glam, Letizia brightened her monochromatic look with a subtle burgundy smoky eye and a natural pink lip.
Later in the day, to keep warm, Letizia wrapped herself up in a black scarf and a cosy black coat that she cinched at the waist with a tie belt. She was also seen carrying another luxurious black staple: the Doma Insignia Satchel handbag by Carolina Herrera in black with gold hardware, which is available in a variety of shades.
