The Real Reason Taylor Swift Didn't Win Any Grammy Awards
Despite culturally defining 2024 with her record-breaking Eras Tour, Taylor Swift was awarded no Grammys at last night's ceremony, marking the first time the star has ever been blanked when she had six or more nominations.
The 'Look What You Made Me Do' star was nominated in six categories, including for her eleventh album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was one of the biggest-sellers of last year, yet took home no awards.

In a year that felt culturally bookmarked by Swift's proliferation, the move was largely considered to be the Record Academy's way of simply allowing other star's work to be celebrated. Each voter knew that Swift has amassed more album of the year wins than anyone else in Grammy history, and this year it the board consciously decided to share the wealth.
It wasn't only Swift's snubs that surprised audiences, but Billie Eilish's too. Nine-time Grammy winner Eilish was nominated in several categories including for her melodic hit 'Birds Of A Feather', but she lost out on two more gongs to Sabrina Carpenter in the best pop solo performance and best pop vocal album categories.
Post Malone, who has also been nominated for 18 Grammys in his career, was up for six awards at this year's ceremony but also failed to secure any last night.
There were surprisingly unsurprising wins, too. Beyoncé extended her reign as the queen of the Grammys, winning even more awards to break her own record as the most decorated artist in Grammy awards, and finally won the album of the year top prize for her country album, Cowboy Carter.
