Ree Drummond's Daughter Alex Gives a Tour of Her Christmas-Decorated Home and Reveals the Decor They 'Disagree On'

In the latest issue of 'The Pioneer Woman Magazine,' Alex gave a behind-the-scenes look at her seasonal decor

Ree Drummond's daughter Alex Drummond Scott and her husband Mauricio are giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at their Dallas home — including their Christmas decor!

In the Holiday 2024 issue of Ree's The Pioneer Woman Magazine, Alex, 27, and her husband of three years shared some adorable snaps of their shared home, which they've lived in since 2021. But this year marks their first time staying in it during December, as they're expecting their first baby in January.

“When I was growing up, all the traditions made our childhood so special,” Alex said. “It’ll be fun once we have our daughter to see what traditions evolve.”

As for the traditions that the pair are bringing to their holiday decor, they both introduced some personalized stockings and a Nativity scene to their home. The couple also added wreaths to each of their windows — with one on their front door that they dressed up with some red wired ribbon.

As the couple, and their dog George, gave an inside look at their Texas home, they also shared a peek at their living room. The area is complete with a banister garland from Balsam Hill on their staircase, Christmas throw pillows from Grandin Road and Arcadia Home, and of course, a Christmas tree.

“We’ll make hot cocoa or soup, put on a Home Alone movie and have a cozy night in," Alex said of making traditions in their living room.

Alex and Mauricio first picked up their Nativity set the year they moved in together, and as they explained it the magazine, it comes straight from Pottery Barn. The pair were drawn to the piece's "modern take" due to its simplicity, and it having "all the components" they wanted.

As for the Christmas tree, Alex revealed that she and her mom don't necessarily agree on that front.

“My parents are very much pro real tree, so they kind of give us a hard time for having a fake one,” Alex said. “Once we have kids, we’ll probably make the switch—it’s a fun experience to pick out a tree and chop it down. But for now the ease of an artificial tree is hard to resist!"

The home's kitchen also featured gentle touches of red and white just in time for the holidays, while the couple also described how they get into the holiday spirit through their cooking.

As Alex told the magazine, she's continuing Ree's tradition of baking cinnamon rolls and delivering them to family and friends, with her pup always on hand to grab some scraps.

Among the seasonal items in their home are a red Wayfair metal bow, a bone-print Christmas stocking for their pup from Arcadia Home, a Ticking Stripe Rug from Rugs USA, a Merry Christmas door mat from Frontgate and the Terracotta Nativity Set from Pottery Barn.

And, of course, it wouldn't be a Drummond household without some Pioneer Woman products, including both the Pioneer Woman Ornament Cookie Jar and the Pioneer Woman Timeless Beauty Dutch Oven.

It'll be a milestone 2025 for Alex and her husband, as back in June, Alex announced her pregnancy on Instagram, when she revealed that their baby would be "joining the party this winter." Alex eventually celebrated her baby shower in October, when she revealed the name she and Mauricio picked for their little girl.

"Yesterday was everything I could ever dream of celebrating our Sofia Marie. 🥹💕," she captioned the post, shared on Sunday, Oct. 20. "Praise the Lord for these wonderful women and so many more!"
