Reese Witherspoon's iconic white sneakers literally go with every outfit

Like all things in fashion, footwear trends have evolved throughout the years. And while the comeback of chunky dad-sneakers has dominated the realm of shoe trends this year, there’s only one trend that stands the test of time: the white sneaker.

From high-tops to trainers to slip-on to classic tennis shoes, this tried-and-true trend continues to refresh and cue nostalgia and even luxury. That, and they literally go with everything.

Earlier this week, actress Reese Witherspoon took to Instagram to show off her chic “back to school prep” style with a celebrity-favourite pair of sneakers. The “Big Little Lies” star and mother of three pairs a pinstripe version of her label Draper James’s Chambray Ruffle Shirt Dress with Tretorn Hayden Sneakers.

Shortly after, followers chimed to share their love for her kicks.

“Tretorns!” wrote one commenter. “That brings back some memories!.”
