Report: Prince Harry has been on a 'different planet' since marrying Meghan Markle
It seems that Britain's Prince Harry has had quite the transformation since marrying Meghan Markle over a year and a half ago. According to royal expert Duncan Larcombe, the 34-year-old is "worlds away" from who he used to be before becoming a husband and a father.
"He’s on a different planet from the Harry we’ve seen develop from a teen to an adult to an army officer to the most popular member of the royal family," Larcombe explained, according to The Sun. “Harry is saying all the right things but saying them in a way that is so un-Harry, that perhaps people who have identified with him for years are thinking ‘what’s going on?’ ‘What’s gotten into Harry?’”
It's a personal transformation that royal watchers started to notice leading up to the royal wedding in 2018. The duke, who was once known for his party boy habits, reportedly quit smoking at Meghan's urging and dropped the alcohol while Meghan was pregnant with Archie. The royal family has been "amazed" by Harry's healthier lifestyle changes, as have his circle of friends.
"Pedicures and massages? He’s changed!” said one military source about a recent report on the Sussexes' spa spottings.
Despite these changes, Larcombe believes Harry is the "happiest now he’s ever been." He continued, "He’s still caught in a whirlwind romance and when people do get married they do change. It just seems such a stark contrast to the Harry we used to know. Maybe he’s such a treasured figure in the public eye, maybe the public don’t want to see a change in him."
