All the Reunions at the 75th Emmy Awards
To mark the 75th Annual Emmy Awards, the academy reunited several Emmy-nominated and beloved casts to present in a number of categories.
The executive producers of the show wanted to use the ceremony to pay tribute to the history of TV. "I think they’ll be talking about the ones that they may see on the screen," Jeannae Rouzan-Clay told Variety about the reunions. "Those are going to be a big talking point, a big watercooler moment, if you will." She added, "It was a grand task to figure out how to celebrate 75 years of television. If we can bring some nostalgia to that stage, then I think that we’ve done a good deed."
Sopranos stars Lorainne Bracco and Michael Imperioli presented alongside a portrait of James Gandolfini. Ted Danson, Kelsey Grammar and the gang from Cheers presented, but not before they welcomed in George Wendt with a "Norm!"
