Rihanna Dresses Down a Luxe Fur Coat with Baggy Pants

It's no secret that Rihanna is a fashion icon. She can pull off looks that most people could never imagine themselves wearing. From pulling off two runway looks just days after Paris Fashion Week wrapped to matching her sneakers to her underwear, Rihanna is always setting the tone for style.

And that was the case this week as she headed out on the town wearing a fur coat in a way that's somehow casual. On Saturday, December 28, Rihanna headed out in New York City wearing an off-duty-coded outfit with a designer twist.

Rihanna pulled out a fur collection from the archives — choosing a piece from the John Galliano for Stallion Furs Casanova collection that debuted in 1998. The collection was 1920s-themed with a 90s flair.

Instead of sticking with the old-fashioned styling of a fur coat — which would typically be worn with a dress or something dressed up — Rihanna opted for a more casual outfit underneath. She's no stranger to casual — including wearing lingerie as clothing — but this time, The Fenty Beauty founder wore an oversized black zip-up hoodie with baggy, black acid-wash jeans. She accessorized the outfit with chunky diamonds around her neck — including a large cross — along with a bandana on her head, Bottega Veneta Haddock boots, and a black quilted bucket bag.

The outfit may have looked casual but the brands are anything but. Her look also included luxury pieces from Loewe, Ralph Lauren, and more.

Rihanna has been keeping busy over the last few months, spending time with A$AP Rocky, her partner and the father of her two young children, RZA and Riot Rose. The stylish pair have posed for photos at several events including the 2024 Fashion Awards in London, England along with the Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City earlier this month.
